For those of you out there who normally wouldn't even
think of going to a car show yet alone actually go to one, reconsider-just this once- and give it a try. Why, because despite what you might think, car shows aren't really about cars at all, they are about dreams and inspiration, impassioned talent and determination and forging bonds of family and friendship stronger than any welds that hold the cars together. To put it another way, car shows are all about what the cars represent…

The Pony Swim: The Pony Swim has occurred since 1925. If you go, be prepared to wait for long hours with the crowds in the hot sun. During the brief 3 minute pony swim event, the wild horses swim across the Assateague Channel when the tide is "slack calm" so the young ponies, which are born during spring or early summer, are safe from any strong currents. After watching the pony swim, visitors can attend the Chincoteague Carnival. An auction takes place before the ponies swim back to Assateague…

The best things in life really are free: the sun on your face on a warm summer day. The feeling of ice-cold, home made lemonade rushing down your throat when it's really hot outside. Splashing in the ocean. Enjoy it all when you're young and keep doing it so you can stay that way. Share it too, with others - your friends, family and maybe even a few strangers. Take care of each other. Why not? After all, we can all use a little looking after and we can all stand to smile a little more and have…

The action was intense. The fun was outrageous. The results, well, they speak for themselves
see for yourself.

The fireworks were beautiful this year off Lewes Beach. Many people brought their own fireworks and put on a great firework display. Residents and visitors alike sat on their beach chairs and towels to enjoy the festivities. Flags were flying proudly, and laughter filled the air along with the ooooh's and aaaah's each time a firework exploted over Lewes Bay.
I was very lucky to spend this time with friends, family, and neighbors.

If you're still recovering from 4th of July festivities, we'll keep this short. If you went anywhere near the beach this weekend for fireworks or whatever, and got sand in your car you need to get it out NOW! Why? Because it can ruin your car's rug, paint and undercarriage (especially rubber parts like cv boots). A quick spray will help the paint and vacuuming helps the interior but the undercarriage, the place the sand will do the most damage is a lot harder to clean. We can help. At Rehoboth…

Did you know that 4th of July celebrations originally consisted of people gathering to consume double sized helpings of rum and to critisize the way the then current government was running the country? How about that the 4th wasn't a nationally recognized holiday until 1938? This means that until then, celebrating the day meant losing a day's wages. What about that the first 4th of July party was actually held on July 8th? See, you can use that as an excuse to have another party- as if you need…

With all the justly due attention the 4th of July gets, I thought I'd shift some attention to the day that made it all possible, literally and historically. Just as the number four follows the number 2, so too is the historical significance of the 4th of July dependent on the 2nd of July. To find out why, we just need to ask Ben Franklin, inventor, philosopher, architect for a nation, wisdom for the generations, patriot and one of the most quoted Americans in history:
“ The second… Continue
