Bethany Beach and Fenwick Island
If you'd rather avoid some of the hustle and bustle of more the more popular and populated Ocean City, Bethany Beach won't disappoint. A short drive from North Ocean City, Bethany Beach will be celebrating the 25th anniversary of their 4th of July parade this year! The parade will take place on Friday, with a 5K run on the morning of the 4th. According to their website, the Bethany Beach 4th of July fireworks will take place at dusk from the boardwalk. With two days worth of fun, Bethany Beach is another great place to be this Independence Day!
Lewes, Rehoboth and Dewey Beach
Rehoboth Beach Fireworks Show! The best fireworks display ever! The beach along the boardwalk adjacent to Star of the Sea condominium will be the shoot site, with the display easily seen all up and down the beach. Fireworks vendor Zambelli, often called the First Family of Fireworks, will be back to launch the display. The fireworks display is planned to go off approximately 9:15 p.m. BUT, NEW THIS YEAR: for safety reasons, if a storm is approaching, the fireworks may be launched anytime after 8p.m. Please be in town early! The time of the show will depend on the weather! The show will be visible from up and down the boardwalk.
Ocean City, Maryland continues to offer a wide range of activities for the kids and the grown-ups come 4th of July. According to the official Ocean City website, you can take the kids to see fireworks and celebrate Independence Day at two Ocean City locations. Family fun begins at 8 PM in both Northside Park and on the Boardwalk, and fireworks will occur at both locations at 9:30 PM. Expect a spectacular fireworks display, set over the ocean or the bay, that you'll be able to see from both locations with ease. Spend the evening with the kids in Northside Park or strolling along the boardwalk first, and end the night in traditional 4th of July style.
