5/5 British Motorcar Show: They're coming again! The British have landed and are invading once again (for the 17th time actually) the City of Lewes and they're bringing with them some of the most iconic and unique motorcars ever built. While many of Britain's best featured some outstanding styling, this year's feature car, the Triumph Spitfire, is among the most memorable and it, along with scores of its kindred, cross-pond motor carriages, will be lined up for viewing, talking and sharing, from 10-3p, on the grounds of The Lewes Historical Society. 6/2 Lower Sussex Bassmaster Youth Fishing Tournament: Join the Lower Sussex Bassmaster and Prime Hook National Wildlife Refuge for their annual Youth Fishing Tournament. Open to kids 15 and younger, the enitire event is free includes everything from bait and hooks to bobbers, soada and train rides...just bring your own fishing pole. The purpose of the event is to help kids understand and respect the purpose and joys of fishing and to help celebrate National Fishing and Boating Week. 6/2 Russ McCabe Where North Meets South: Take a tour and learn about the natural and cultural wonders of some of Delaware's most historic and important waterways. "Where North Meets South: Slavery and The Civil War", is a journer with Russ McCabe that will fascinate and enlighten you with information about such notable places like the Woodland Ferry, Middle Point Monument, the Governor Ross Mansion/ Slave Quarter, the Parson Thorne Mansion, Geberal Torbert Statue and the Burial Place of U.S. Colored Troops. 6/2 Lighthouse Tours Begin: Tours of the Delaware Breakwater east End Lighthouses begin on Saturday June 2. Each tour throughout the summer is on a Saturday and takes place on the following dates: June 2, 16, 30; July 14, 28; August 11.25, September 8; actual tour times will be announced. Tickets are $35 each for people 13 and up, $15 for kids 6-12. Tours depart from the Cape May-Lewes Ferry, free parking is available and reservations are required as seats are limited to 24 people. This year's 7th annual event is held as a fundraiser for the Robert and Eolyne Tunnel Cancer Center of BeeBe Medical Center.
