Lewes Historical Society Craft Show

Lewes is a quaint historic town located in coastal Sussex County, Delaware, within easy driving distance of major metropolitan areas. Lewes is an exciting destination for Craft buyers with it’s wealth of historical sights, museums, unique shops, restaurants and pristine beaches. The grounds of The Lewes Historical Society are located near the downtown shopping district. The Historic Complex consists of numerous historic buildings that are open to the public. These houses and museums, surrounded by trees and gardens provide a beautiful backdrop for the Craft Fair.

The Lewes Historical Society hosts two Fairs every year and is pleased to announce its 23rd year of successful shows. Of the many events hosted by the Society, the Craft Fair is very well known for the quality of the Craftspeople and the attendance of visitors. We enjoy a reputation for an organized event showcasing a variety of Craftspeople from the mid-Atlantic region. The summer show is in July and the autumn show is in October. Both of these shows are one-day, outdoor events. The Craft Fair is a fund-raising event for the Lewes Historical Society and there is a $3.00 admission fee for all visitors. Over 4,000 visitors attended each show in 2009. Over 80 Craftspeople exhibit a variety of media in a unique setting. Ample parking is available for both visitors and exhibitors.

A festive atmosphere is created with live music; Food and refreshments are served on the grounds of the Historic Complex and picnic tables are provided under the shade of nearby cherry trees. Visitors enjoy a day of Crafts, food and fun in the beautiful setting of The Lewes Historical Society grounds. The Lewes Historical Society is located at Second and Shipcarpenter Streets, Lewes. Admission is $5.00, children under 12, free. Live music, baked goods and refreshments available.
