Mangia Lewes: Downtown Lewes Goes Italian

The Buttery Restaurant in Downtown Lewes has been a part of the local food and social scene for almost 20 years and while we've loved every minute of it and been a part of some truly wonderful town-wide events, we can honestly say we've never been a part of anything like this before, Of course, we're talking about the Lewes Italian Festival, the day-long Fun Friday Festival that's going to turn Little Lewes into Little Italy on Friday, September 23rd.

From 10a-10p, Second Street will be open only to foot traffic, themed music, shows, plays and maybe best of all, at least to our way of thinking, Italian foods of all types and tastes from fantastic local restaurants, including yours truly. From ravioli and meatballs to pizza, biscotti and tiramisu (and lots, lots more) there's going to be something here for everyone..At least everyone that loves great food.  Get a little taste of the deliciousness to come, then be sure to stop by to say Ciao when you come to town.
