Josephine's Daughter DEBUTS “REEL” FISH LEATHER AND ORCHID BLOSSOM JEWELRY BY EASTERN SHORE DESIGNER

 

 

REHOBOTH, DELAWARE – Inspired by her love of the coast, Moonrise Jewelry Designer Meredith Restein will sail in to Josephine’s Daughter, a local Rehoboth boutique, June 24-25 to present a trunk show of exquisite artisan jewelry handcrafted in her Eastern Shore of Virginia studio. The public is invited to come and meet the artist at the debut of “Fin & Flower,” her new collection of jewelry featuring “Reel” Fish Leather and her signature Real Orchid Blossoms seen on NBC’s Today Show.  The trunk show will be held on Friday, June 24 from 5:00 to 8:00pm and Saturday, June 25 from 12:00 to 4:00pm at Josephine’s Daughter located at 40 Baltimore Avenue, Rehoboth Mews in Rehoboth Beach.

 

Moonrise Jewelry Designer Meredith Restein began her journey as an artist in her father's pharmacy at the age of nine, selling “sculptures” made from seashells she collected near her Chesapeake Bay home.  A self-taught jewelry designer and entrepreneur since 2002, Meredith grew her business piece by piece– continually refining her style, providing exceptional customer service, and contributing to her local community. As one of the first artisan jewelry designers in the budding “green” marketplace, Moonrise Jewelry caught the eye of national press including Lucky magazine, TLC’s What Not to Wear, and Meryl Streep’s Green Guide.

 

Moonrise Jewelry’s signature style has evolved into a colorful brand of wearable art that’s inspired by Meredith’s love of the world's most beautiful coasts, including the one she calls home.  Committed to providing her customers with high-quality jewelry they won't find anywhere else, Meredith continues to seek out innovative new elements for her designs, including real orchid blossoms and eco-friendly fish leather made from discarded salmon skins. As Moonrise Jewelry gains an international clientele, each piece is still handmade in a local studio overlooking the same Chesapeake shoreline where Meredith got her start years ago, where her daughter now searches for seashells to fashion into her own creations.
